All that I am is a little better

Well, I haven't ever blogged here in particular before, but I felt the need to explain/make an excuse for the quality of my work.

Why am I apologizing for my art?

Well, not for any cool, or trendy reason. There's nothing controversial about any of it, I don't think. I simply realized that lots of times, as proud of my work as I am, I come here, take a gander at the stuff I have posted, and I feel a little disheartened.

Well, I know that we all have our unique talents, and that one person's expression or talent or growth does not reflect my own, not really. And though I have friends and aquaintances who have notably more refined skills than I do, and a damn sight more creativity in their heads, I am still just as proud and enthused about my own work as I am theirs. But again, coming here makes me a little saddish.

The reason is that my work is poorly dated, most from about a year or more ago. Most of it is also from before I began college, so it's not a very good representation of what I *can* do nowadays, or what I have done recently. It's not my best work. In fact, some if it is my *worst* work. I guess I should be proud. :)

But anyway, this blog is just a plea to not judge me by these anitquated works. I know that I need to just get off my lazy butt and upload my stuff. That's all I need to do...upload. My problem and procrastination stems from the fact that most of my work has been for school, though, and therefore is drawn on too-large-to-fit-on-the-scanner paper. So I've had two options: scan what I can in parts and reassemble it in Photoshop, or go to a FedEx Kinko's and pay to have it scanned. Going to Kinko's is ideal, of course, however, that costs money.

Well, anyway, keep an eye our for my updates. When I do update my stuff, likely it'll be a whole bunch at once. Thanks for taking an interest, and please keep watching. :)

Always,
Blue.
